Today, the company is led by Jay Cash, a second-generation auctioneer, real-estate broker, and nationally recognized professional auctioneer.
Born into the auction business, Jay learned early that successful auctions are equal parts strategy, psychology, preparation, and execution. In 2012, Jay and his wife Lisa expanded the family business by opening a Middle Tennessee branch outside of Nashville—bringing the James R. Cash name to one of the fastest-growing real estate markets in the country.
Under Jay’s leadership, the firm has grown into a modern, multi-state auction and real-estate company—while staying grounded in the values that built our reputation.

James R. Cash — “The Selling Machine” began his auction career in 1968 and went on to become one of the most respected leaders in farm machinery and real estate auctions throughout the Southeast. Alongside his wife, Cindy Cash, he conducted thousands of auctions, earning a reputation built on professionalism, integrity, and extraordinary results.
Though James R. Cash has since passed, his influence remains at the heart of our company. His principles, standards, and commitment to doing things the right way continue to guide every auction we conduct. Based in Western Kentucky, Cindy Cash proudly carries forward the legacy they built together—one rooted in trust, preparation, and respect for both buyers and sellers.
